Practice Makes Perfect….For Your Posture

I will be the first to admit I have terrible posture.  Sometimes I catch a peak at my profile if I’m walking by a mirror or any other reflective surface and I’m always shocked at how hunched over I am.  Lately I have been trying to be more conscious of my posture for a few reasons.

1. At barely 5’2″, I need all the extra height I can get

2. Standing up straight really does make you look thinner.  Throw the shoulders back, suck the stomach in and fake it til you make it.

3. There is no third reason…..I just felt it wasn’t worthy of a bulleted list with only two bullets 🙂

Do you guys have any tips for keeping the spine straight?  I start off the day with the best intentions but by 2:00 p.m. I’m slouched over my computer screen and by the time I get in my car to drive home?  Forget about it.  Just call me the Hunch Back of Notre Dame.   I’m interested to hear of any tips and tricks you guys have for standing or sitting up straight.  The biggest challenge I have is sitting at a desk all day.  If I was standing up I think I notice it more, but when I’m at my desk I’m a mess.
